Do you feel all alone? Have you lost hope that your life will get better? Have you lost confidence in yourself? I go through all of those and many more. The thing is, what I have is something most people don’t know they can have as well, a relationship with God.
When you have #PTSD it can feel like this from Dante’s Devine Comedy.
“Through me you pass into the city of woe:

Through me you pass into eternal pain:
Through me among the people lost for aye.
Justice the founder of my fabric moved:
To rear me was the task of Power divine,
Supremest Wisdom, and primeval Love.
Before me things create were none, save things

Abandon all hope, ye who enter here.”
But who said you have to abandon hope in the Bible? It is all about hope when you can no longer find reason to trust people. When I have no one to talk to, I talk to God. When I have no one to help me, I ask God. When people come into my life and then walk away instead of helping me, God is still there. I know He hears me because He sent people to help me, even though they just abandoned me. This is why I know what it feels like when someone needs help to heal #PTSD. And it is why I wanted to offer hope in the trilogy I wrote. The Lost Son, Alive Again and Stranger Angels.

The demon of doubt wants you to abandon all hope but considering you defeated him when you survived the event that caused PTSD, don’t take his word for your life now. He’s a loser!
If people walk away, ask God to send you others who are willing to do what He’s asking them to do. Feel sorry for them if they do not help you, because they are saying no to God Who sent them. He will remember when they ask for help the next time.
If people reject you, turn to God because He knows what it is like to be rejected too. There are many more people who will stand by your side as long as you do not settle for those who did not.
If you need help and people ignore you, then pass on help to someone else and become the miracle in their life that they have been searching for. You will find reward inside your soul because you have shown mercy even in your misery. Helping someone else, because you understand what it feels like, will go a long way toward helping you heal as well. Giving hope, is often more powerful because you gain hope for yourself as well.
