The kids had a visit from the Easter Bunny and now it is time for you to treat yourself to something that will sweeten your life. What can you learn from what came after Easter? The never ending story of the life of Jesus that is carried on when people do things in remembrance of Him and all He taught.
He spoke these words,
The Beatitudes
He said:
3 “Blessed are the poor in spirit,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
4 Blessed are those who mourn,
for they will be comforted.
5 Blessed are the meek,
for they will inherit the earth.
6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
for they will be filled.
7 Blessed are the merciful,
for they will be shown mercy.
8 Blessed are the pure in heart,
for they will see God.
9 Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they will be called children of God.
10 Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.11 “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. 12 Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
The Beatitudes
Of all the things He said came with blessings, the one that means the most to me is “Blessed are the peacemakers for they will be called the children of God.”
Are you a peacemaker? Do you help anyone find peace? Do you offer them a way to calm the turmoil in their minds?
If you do, then you are a peacemaker. That is what Chris and his friends ended up doing in The Lost Son Series. They lived through events that could have killed them physically as well as spiritually. To all of them, the spiritual turmoil was worse than the event that caused #PTSD within them.
Once they were helped by someone else who understood what it was like to heal, they healed and wanted to pass it on to everyone they met. Chris lived in the darkness of that spiritual turmoil for seven years. On the night he decided to end his pain, God agreed but had other ideas of how it should end. He sent peacemakers back into his life to show him the way out of darkness.
It took thirteen days for them to take him from wanting to die, into wanting to give them a way to rejoice about living again. He gave hope to the world because God restored it through other people.
